Kirrienne Coughlan PHYSIOTHERAPIST
A passion for lymphoedema and oncology physiotherapy
Kirrienne began her career in the health industry more than 15 years ago as a Remedial Massage Therapist. After realising she wanted to do more for her patients, she took the leap to study Physiotherapy, graduating in 2020 at Australian Catholic University here in Ballarat.
During placement, Kirrienne was drawn to the specialty of lymphoedema. Keen to pursue that connection, she went on to complete her Level 1 and more recently, level 2 qualifications to become an Advanced Lymphoedema Practitioner. Given the link between certain cancer treatments and lymphoedema, she naturally moved into a second specialty; oncology physiotherapy. Kirrienne is now a dedicated Lymphoedema and Oncology Physiotherapist. She is passionate about helping her clients improve their quality of life in a way that is meaningful to them.
In her spare time, Kirrienne enjoys spending time with friends and family, but also enjoys a quiet weekend at home with her husband, Ryan.
